Huo Yuhao was ambushed by Dai Yueheng and the Shrek team, but quickly overwhelmed them with his strength and martial souls. The chapter left him grabbing Ma Xiaotao by the face as her berserk evil fire met his savage Qiongqi aura.

• Huo Yuhao spotted Dai Yueheng and Gongyang Mo waiting in the trees, but Dai Yueheng charged out and attacked him when he took the main road.

Xuan Zi led the team on a fast aerial journey toward Star Luo City, stopping at the Star Luo Empire’s border before continuing to the White Tiger Duke’s military camp. A sentry spotted Huo Yuhao as the group arrived, but pretended not to recognize him.

• Huo Yuhao carried Wang Dong and Xiao Xiao while the team flew, and Xuan Zi ordered the faster members to slow down for their struggling companions.
• Xuan Zi landed the group in a forest for a meal and a two-hour rest before they resumed their journey.

Huo Yuhao and the Shrek group entered the Brightmoon Mountain Range to hunt the Death's Hand Bandit Gang, with Dai Huabin forced to lead them. After defeating an ambush at the gang's cave, Dai Huabin rushed inside and a blaze and explosion erupted.

• Dai Hao briefed Xuan Zi on the bandit gang before leaving to deploy troops, and Xuan Zi later explained the mission to the Shrek group.
• Huo Yuhao made Dai Huabin lead the group through the Brightmoon Mountain Range, whipping him with Qiongqi's flames whenever he changed direction.

Xuan Zi urged the injured students to return to the academy, but Bei Bei and Dai Yueheng offered to keep competing if reinforcements could be brought.

• Huo Yuhao refused to yield to Xuan Zi, insulted him, and escaped with Wang Dong and Xiao Xiao in a mist.

Huo Yuhao, Xiao Xiao, and Wang Dong chose to leave Shrek behind and encountered Ma Rulong and an older man from the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy, who attacked them with a Soul Guidance Ray.

• Yao Haoxuan and Chen Zifeng admitted they could not compete, so Xuan Zi sent Wang Yan and Dai Yueheng’s able companions to register in Star Luo City while he took the wounded back to the academy.

When the academy learned he had fallen out with Shrek and was only a reserve, its jujube-red-faced elder tried to recruit him for their tournament team.

• Huo Yuhao used Dark Gold Dreadclaw Storm to crash the Flying Soul Tool, then trapped the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy members and their craft in the Mist Arena.
