Background / History

Gu Ming is a transmigrator with no parents, taken in by an orphanage secretly financed by the Holy Spirit Cult. At six, he recognizes Zhongli Wu and Feng Ling during the orphanage’s free awakening ceremony but conceals his knowledge for fear of being killed. His innate full Soul Power and exceptional twin Martial Souls immediately attract their attention 1.

Although he had hoped to become a hero, Gu Ming accepts Zhongli Wu’s invitation because he sees no safe way to refuse. He is taken to the cult’s headquarters and taught that authority depends on strength and ruthless self-defense. A staged entrance on the Spider King wins the elders’ recognition, while Gu Ming keeps Tianjing concealed from them 2 3.

Zhongli Wu oversees his first soul-ring hunt, and Feng Ling becomes his principal combat instructor. Over six years, Gu Ming deliberately prioritizes physical conditioning, technique, and stable foundations over rapid Soul Power growth.
