Tang Wulin gritted his teeth, a flash of resolve crossing his eyes.

He suddenly stopped retreating and charged straight at Red Skull instead.

Red Skull froze, then exulted. "You're courting death!"

He curled both hands into claws, gathering soul power for a killing blow. Yet just as Tang Wulin was about to reach him, Tang Wulin vanished again.

Red Skull's heart lurched, and he instinctively turned to defend himself. This time, however, Tang Wulin appeared not behind him, but above his head.

"Eight-Stage Throw!"

That was right. As an innate skill of Xiao Wu's Soft-Boned Enchanting Rabbit Martial Soul, how could Tang Wulin, a transmigrator, possibly not know it?

Over the past year, aside from eating, drinking, and practicing forging... he had spent all his remaining time practicing this skill.

Eight-Stage Throw was also a game-breaking skill. Once someone was caught in the throws, unless they broke free immediately, they could no longer resist.

The hardest parts of the skill were landing it and having enough strength, but adding Teleportation to get behind an opponent and the outrageous strength granted by the Golden Dragon King bloodline changed everything.

Tang Wulin's voice was cold and firm. His body flipped in midair, his legs clamping around Red Skull's neck. Using the momentum of his descent, he dragged Red Skull down to the floor.

Caught off guard, Red Skull was thrown into a dizzy stupor. Just as he tried to struggle, Tang Wulin seized his arms, flipped over, and hurled him away.

Bang!

Red Skull slammed into the carriage wall with a dull thud. Before he could get up, Tang Wulin appeared before him again and kicked him in the chest, sending him flying.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

His Eight-Stage Throw was not yet perfect, but it was enough to deal with a Soul Emperor he had already wounded.

The first throw left Red Skull's head spinning and his vision swimming.

The second throw dislocated Red Skull's right arm.

The third throw broke Red Skull's left leg.

The fourth throw snapped two of Red Skull's ribs.

The fifth throw completely disrupted the circulation of Red Skull's soul power.

The sixth throw began to blur Red Skull's consciousness.

The seventh throw cracked Red Skull's Battle Armor.

"What kind of skill is this?"

Red Skull was utterly shaken. Though gravely wounded, he should not have been losing to a peak Two-Ring Soul Master. And once this skill had landed, he had actually been unable to resist!

The eighth throw!

Tang Wulin hoisted Red Skull high, then smashed him hard into the floor. The entire carriage shuddered. Red Skull's body twitched a few times, then went completely still.

Tang Wulin stood beside Red Skull, panting, his entire body stained with blood. His soul power was nearly exhausted, and his legs weakened until he almost dropped to his knees, but he forced himself to remain standing.

The carriage was silent enough to hear a pin drop.

Everyone stared blankly at that tiny figure standing beside the Six-Ring Soul Emperor's "corpse," still wearing that harmless smile.

"Whew... done."

Tang Wulin wiped the sweat from his face and turned toward the other end of the carriage.

Elsewhere, Wu Changkong severed the Green Skull member's head with one stroke of his sword. Blood gushed out, staining his white clothes red. Without pausing to wipe it away, he darted straight toward the carriage ahead.

A faint unease stirred in his heart. Although the child named Tang Wulin had inspired an inexplicable sense of trust in him, the boy was only six or seven years old, and his opponent was a Six-Ring Soul Emperor.

No matter how extraordinarily gifted that child was, the gulf in soul power remained. How could he possibly hold Red Skull back?

Yet when he passed through the connection between carriages, the sight before him stopped him cold.

Tang Wulin stood beside Red Skull, drenched in blood and panting, one foot planted on the Evil Soul Master's chest.

Red Skull lay motionless on the floor, a horrifying bloody hole in his abdomen. He had completely lost the ability to fight.

Wu Changkong's pupils contracted sharply.

It had taken him nearly three minutes to deal with the Green Skull member, and in those three minutes, this child had actually defeated a Six-Ring Soul Emperor? How on earth had he done it?

Seeing Wu Changkong arrive, the passengers crowded around him in excitement.

"Sir! You're finally here! This child... this child is incredible! He defeated that Evil Soul Master all by himself!"

"Yes, yes! This child is a monster!"

Ignoring the clamor, Wu Changkong strode up to Tang Wulin and looked down at the blood-covered little boy.

Tang Wulin raised his head and grinned at him, revealing two little pointed canines. "Done."

Wu Changkong was silent for a moment, then nodded. "You... did very well."

Tang Wulin chuckled. He was just about to say something when he suddenly felt Red Skull's body trembling violently beneath his foot.

He looked down and saw that Red Skull had opened his eyes at some point. His gaunt, savage face was filled with madness and despair.

His body was swelling visibly, strange blood-red patterns emerging across his skin as his soul power fluctuations became extremely unstable.

"This is bad!" Wu Changkong's expression changed sharply. "He's going to self-destruct!"

Red Skull let out a deranged laugh. "Hahaha! Boy, you really are impressive! But you think you've won? If I'm not getting out of here alive today, neither are you! My martial soul is the red river puffer... my self-destruction is as powerful as an Eight-Level Fixed Soul Cannon Shell. Not a single person on this train will escape!"

Before he had finished speaking, his body swelled even more violently. His skin began to split, leaking dazzling red light.

The passengers screamed in terror and scrambled backward, but the carriage was only so large. They had nowhere to run.

Wu Changkong's expression turned grim. An Eight-Level Fixed Soul Cannon Shell was powerful enough to blast the entire Soul Guidance Train to pieces.

Though his Two-Word Battle Armor could protect him, he could not possibly shield everyone from an explosion like that.

What should I do?

At that moment, with their lives hanging by a thread, Tang Wulin suddenly moved.

He bent down, seized Red Skull by the collar, hauled him off the floor, and slung him over his shoulder.

Red Skull continued to swell, his body as scorching as a red-hot branding iron, but Tang Wulin seemed not to feel it at all as he charged toward the carriage door with him on his shoulder.

"What are you doing?!" Wu Changkong cried in alarm.

"Leave him to me!" Tang Wulin shouted without looking back, his voice carrying an unquestionable resolve. "Protect the others!"

Before his words had faded, he kicked the carriage door open and rushed out with Red Skull on his shoulder.

Howling wind poured into the carriage. All anyone saw was that tiny figure carrying an ever-swelling ball of red light, sprinting toward the open ground away from the train.

Wu Changkong froze for an instant, then snapped back to his senses and darted out in pursuit.

"Tang Wulin!"

His voice scattered in the fierce wind, but that tiny figure only ran farther and farther away.

Tang Wulin moved at tremendous speed. With Teleportation and Berserk bolstering him, his figure left trails of afterimages across the wilderness. Red Skull struggled frantically on his shoulder, roaring hoarsely.

"You little bastard! Have you lost your mind? What good will running with me do? You'll die too!"
