The other pairs revealed their whiteboards one after another. Both partners had written roughly the same things, though there were a few discrepancies.
One couple had even remembered it wrong, writing completely different times and places.
Finally, it was Wang Dong'er and Huo Yuhao's turn.
"Next, let's see whether the pair who showed the best understanding earlier can keep it up!"
They revealed their whiteboards, which recounted the story of their first meeting.
Their descriptions differed because of their different perspectives, but a careful reading showed that they were describing exactly the same events.
Quite a few people in the audience let out cries of amazement. They hadn't expected the two to remember it so clearly.
"All right, it looks like everyone can already tell who our winners are."
"Congratulations to you both for becoming today's couple with the best mutual understanding! Your prize is a pair of Unity Locks."
Wang Dong'er and Huo Yuhao each held half of the Unity Lock and fitted them together. A faint golden light shone from it, falling over them both.
Anyone who didn't know better might have thought they were at a wedding.
"This lock is really pretty."
Wang Dong'er looked at the prize in her hands, delighted.
They continued enjoying themselves along the streets until the sun was about to set, when Huo Yuhao brought Wang Dong'er to a restaurant.
"Are you sure you want to eat here?"
Wang Dong'er stared at the restaurant before her, momentarily stunned.
This was the most expensive restaurant in all of Mingdu. Even Wang Dong'er hadn't been willing to splurge on a meal here during her two years studying at Sun Moon Academy.
"It's fine. Let's go in. My treat today."
Huo Yuhao took Wang Dong'er's hand, and they walked into the restaurant.
"Welcome!"
The attendants
