Stinky Huo Yuhao and the Stalker

Huo Yuhao's diarrhea really had been caused by that Mystic Water Pill, but not because he had done anything bad.

"Huo Yuhao, you stink! Hurry up and take a bath."

"Do I?"

Huo Yuhao asked, unable to smell anything himself.

"Hurry up and wash, or you're not allowed to sleep."

The smell coming from Huo Yuhao was simply unbearable, so Wang Dong'er chose to leave the dorm room outright.

Only after the smell in the room had faded did Wang Dong'er return.

Overjoyed, Huo Yuhao threw his arms around Wang Dong and bounced up and down.

Wang Dong'er didn't dodge him. Instead, she wrapped her arms around Huo Yuhao in return.

After class ended at noon, they went to the dining hall to eat, and Huo Yuhao felt that sense of being watched growing stronger and stronger.

"Wang Dong, someone really is watching us."

Wang Dong'er felt it too now. "Let's eat first. We'll deal with it afterward."

Once they had eaten their fill, they headed in another direction instead of returning to the dorm.

Huo Yuhao hadn't gotten to know all his classmates yet. He only remembered that there was a little girl like her.

"Why were you following us?" Wang Dong'er asked.

"Um... I wasn't following you." Xiao Xiao's eyes darted away, making it obvious she was lying.

"Stop lying," Huo Yuhao said. "We could feel you following us from the start."

Wang Dong'er walked over and poked her little face with a finger, revealing a sinister smile.

"If you don't tell us, I'll slash your face."

Xiao Xiao hurriedly cupped her cheeks. "No, no, no! I'll tell you! I just wanted to see what you two were doing."

"Why?"

"Because your relationship seems really special."

Xiao Xiao's eyes lit up, and her gaze brimmed with amusement as she looked at Wang Dong'er and Huo Yuhao.

"Aren't we just ordinary roommates? What's so strange about that?"

Huo Yuhao saw absolutely nothing odd about himself and Wang Dong'er.

Xiao Xiao held up a finger and wagged it. "No, no, no. Other boys don't act like you two. I suspect... hehehe."

Xiao Xiao left her sentence unfinished, unable to stop giggling.

Wang Dong'er suddenly understood. She and Huo Yuhao must have acted too intimately, sending Xiao Xiao's thoughts down the wrong path.

"Don't follow us in secret anymore. If you want to walk with us, just come along openly."

"Let's go, Yuhao."

Wang Dong'er hooked her arm around Huo Yuhao's neck and walked out.

Behind them, Xiao Xiao cupped her cheeks, so excited she nearly squealed.

She slowly followed the pair, watching without so much as blinking.

Huo Yuhao was a little puzzled. Wang Dong seemed to know why Xiao Xiao was acting so strangely, but she wouldn't tell him.

They continued along for a while, and an enormous lake appeared ahead.

The beautiful lake before them was Sea God Lake, one of the academy's iconic landmarks.

Wang Dong'er took a deep breath. The lakeside air was wonderfully fresh, and she felt much more comfortable all over.

"Wang Dong, look. There seem to be houses over there."

Huo Yuhao could make out some buildings far away on the other side of the lake.

"That should be the Inner Court."

Huo Yuhao had of course heard of the Inner Court. Only outstanding students could enter it.

He gazed toward the Inner Court with longing, hoping that one day he, too, could become a student there.

"Look, there seems to be something flying over from that way!" Xiao Xiao suddenly called out.

Wang Dong'er and Huo Yuhao looked over and saw a red figure flying rapidly toward them.

"Oh no, I almost forgot about this."

At the sight of that figure, Wang Dong'er remembered that they would encounter Ma Xiaotao here, driven out of her mind by the onslaught of Evil Fire.

"Run!"

Encountering Ma Xiaotao now was like moths flying into a flame.

Wang Dong'er pulled Huo Yuhao and Xiao Xiao along as she ran.

Yet Ma Xiaotao flew straight toward them as though she had locked onto her targets.

The next instant, Wang Dong'er felt a terrifying heat.

Realizing they couldn't escape, Wang Dong'er unhesitatingly pulled Xiao Xiao behind her, then dragged Huo Yuhao in front of herself as a shield.

She knew there were several powerful beings inside Huo Yuhao's body. If Huo Yuhao was in danger, they would surely come out to help.

An enormous white Soul Ring rose from beneath his feet.
