The classroom instantly fell silent. Every student held their breath, and even the usually irrepressible Xie Xie put away his devil-may-care smile.
Shen Yi swept his gaze around the room and said slowly, "According to academy regulations, this semester's final exam will still use an elimination system—five students will face elimination."
"Eliminate five people?" Gu Yue frowned slightly, her fingertips gently brushing the desktop.
Tang Wulin immediately raised his hand and asked anxiously, "Teacher Shen, is there any way to avoid eliminating anyone? Can we work hard enough to make sure everyone stays?"
Shen Yi looked at Tang Wulin, a knowing smile curling his lips, as though he had expected that very question.
"Of course that's possible." As soon as Shen Yi spoke, even the air in the classroom seemed to lighten. "The final exam uses a points system. To avoid elimination, you must first reach the passing mark. If everyone scores above that mark, the entire class will have a chance to stay, with no one eliminated."
