The sea breeze on Sea God Island always carried a salty dampness. It dispersed the smoke of battle, but could not dispel the anticipation in Tang Wulin's heart.
After returning to the Demon Soul Great White Sharks' territory, Tang Wulin did not rush into his next trial. The Goddess of Life's voice had fallen silent, as though she were preparing an even more difficult challenge.
"Since I'm here, I might as well settle in."
Tang Wulin sat cross-legged on the pristine white beach, about to close his eyes and rest while adjusting to the divine power affinity he had just gained.
"Hey! Human! Tang Wulin!"
A clear, bright voice broke the silence.
Tang Wulin reluctantly opened his eyes. A little snow-white shark was laboriously wriggling out of the water onto the beach. Her large, deep-blue eyes brimmed with excitement. It was Dong Qianqiu.
"What is it, Xiuxiu?"
Tang Wulin had instinctively used the name Aunt Xiao Bai had given her.
At the sound of that name, Dong Qianqiu flicked her tail in displeasure, splashing water all over Tang Wulin's face.
"Call me Dong Qianqiu! That name is too childish!"
She raised her head haughtily, then swam up to Tang Wulin and circled his ankles twice, apparently showing something off.
"See how amazing I am? I almost bit a little orca's tail just now!"
Tang Wulin smiled and stroked her head. "Very amazing, but don't charge so far ahead next time. It's dangerous."
Dong Qianqiu narrowed her eyes contentedly, enjoying his touch for a while. Then, as though she had suddenly remembered something earth-shattering, she jerked her head up and gave Tang Wulin a solemn look.
"Oh, right, Tang Wulin."
"I want to show you something."
"What?"
Tang Wulin was taken aback.
"I want to show you my human form!"
Dong
