The bustle in the Sea God Pavilion gradually faded, and the sunset's lingering glow painted the buildings of Shrek Academy a warm orange-red.
Tang Wulin and Gu Yue walked out of the Sea God Pavilion side by side, slowly following a path carpeted with cherry blossoms.
The evening breeze swept past, lifting Tang Wulin's blue-gold hair and stirring Gu Yue's silver strands.
"Gu Yue."
Tang Wulin suddenly stopped and turned toward her, tenderness shimmering in his pink-blue eyes.
"We've both been away for years. My sister must have been really worried about me."
He spoke softly, a trace of guilt in his voice.
"So I'd like to spend a few days with her first and have a proper talk."
Gu Yue paused briefly at his words, then nodded.
Of course she knew how deep the bond between Tang Wulin and Tang Wutong ran.
His pink-blue-haired sister was one of Wulin's most important loved ones in this world.
"I know."
Gu Yue spoke softly, a glimmer of understanding passing through her violet eyes.
"You went to complete your trials, just like I did, right?"

"We both have only the final trial left."
"I barely got to see you these past few years, either."

He scratched his head, looking a little sheepish.
"But they're all over now."
Gu Yue couldn't help laughing at the sight of him.
She reached out and gently pinched his cheek.
"Once you're done keeping your sister company, don't forget to spend some time with your girlfriend."
