Sweetness overload

The smell of disinfectant gradually faded as Tang Wulin groggily opened his eyes, his blurred vision slowly clearing. He tried moving and was surprised to find that the searing pain where the Stargod Sword had pierced him had vanished entirely. In its place was a warm, soothing comfort, as though every cell in his body were cheering.

He propped himself up and looked around. The hospital room was empty, with only the sunlight outside spilling across the floor.

"Wulin, how do you feel?" Xu Xiaoyan asked with concern, carrying some fruit.
