Chapter Summaries

Shi Mei appeared before Sasuke, Naruto, and the Ten Celestial Ninja, explained why he had spared Sasuke in a previous life, and revealed the immense number of Chakra Fruits he had consumed. He attacked with Divine Technique: Heavenly Tribulation, and Sasuke used Divine Technique: Omotaru to leap back to before the storm began.

• Shi Mei appeared before Sasuke, Naruto, and the Ten Celestial Ninja, and Sasuke confronted him about being spared in his previous life.
• Shi Mei explained that he had spared Sasuke after seeing his potential with Divine Technique: Ten Directions, and that his past and present selves had acted together when Sasuke traveled through time.
• Naruto questioned how Shi Mei had appeared, and Shi Mei said his Clairvoyance let him see anywhere and teleport there.

Shi Mei then used Omnipotence to seize everyone’s hearts, and Sasuke attempted to take their accumulated mental fatigue and harm onto himself with Transference.

• Sasuke reset time again and again as Shi Mei unleashed Heavenly Tribulation, allowing Void Māra to adapt to his killing attacks.
• Shi Mei agreed to test the group and summoned lightning, then floods, sandstorms, blizzards, acid rain, hail, and other disasters; Sasuke reset time over sixty thousand times as everyone adapted.
• Shi Mei warned that Omnipotence offered infinitely many phenomena to adapt to and that Sasuke’s repeated resets could not erase their psychological trauma or mental fatigue.

The battle continued as Sarada sacrificed herself to stop Shi Mei, but he extinguished her attack and prepared to unleash Daikokuten on a collapsing sun.

• Sasuke traveled through time but could not find Kabuto anywhere, realizing that Kabuto's death was permanent.

As Sasuke lost hope, Shinfū stood beside him and declared that his wind would not stop, before Sasuke sensed Orochimaru.

• Shi Mei explained how he had manipulated Ryūshiki, Kaguya, Isshiki, Gamamaru, Amado, and Sasuke to guide humanity and create a great feat for his transcendence as Ōtsutsuki Yae.
• Shi Mei revealed that the prophecy had been a lie and that Sasuke’s struggles across two lifetimes had served his plan, leaving Sasuke devastated.
• Shi Mei used Daikokuten to unleash the sun’s radiance as countless fireballs, and the shinobi’s attacks failed to stop them.
• Sasuke gave up hope and urged Shinfū to escape, but Shinfū refused and declared that Sasuke’s wind would continue.

Shinfū revealed the hidden technique Samadhi, and Sasuke began using it to reach his theoretical pinnacle while the others sacrificed themselves to hold Shi Mei back. As the world faced annihilation, Sasuke accepted that activating Samadhi would make everyone forget him, and its light overwhelmed Shi Mei with despair.

• Shinfū explained that his bargain with the King of the Underworld had concealed Samadhi from Shi Mei, and Sasuke activated the technique with Yamato Takeru.
• Shinfū opened the Ninth Heavenly Gate, and Hina-ya restrained Shi Mei so Shinfū could strike his weakness with Divine Annihilation and Divine Technique: Seven Inches.
