Kakashi and Might Guy had both made good progress with the Heavenly Mountain Plum-Blossom Hand and the Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms. Their Internal Arts cultivation was also coming along very well.
By now, Kakashi and Might Guy had already surpassed the ranks of genin. Even ordinary chunin were no match for them. Qingyun answered each of their questions in turn.
He then turned to the still-young Shisui Uchiha. Qingyun had not taught him many advanced techniques yet, focusing instead on steadily building his foundations.
Shisui Uchiha was only a little over four years old, still too young to begin cultivating Internal Arts. He would have to wait at least another year.
"Good, you've all done well. Shisui, I'm going to teach you a Sword Technique now. Remember, you must practice diligently every day. No slacking!"
As he spoke, Qingyun slowly drew the Peerless Yang Sword and demonstrated Basic Swordsmanship three times. Once Shisui Uchiha began working through the movements himself, Qingyun stopped demonstrating and corrected the flaws in his Sword Technique, only stopping after Shisui had fully memorized every move.
"You two should keep practicing what I taught you. These two taijutsu styles still have tremendous potential, especially yours, Kakashi. In the future, you can try incorporating other taijutsu techniques into the Heavenly Mountain Plum-Blossom Hand. That will greatly improve your close-combat ability. Also, once you get home, have your father test your chakra affinities. Then choose one or two elements to cultivate and improve your ninjutsu."
Qingyun looked at Might Guy and Kakashi as he spoke calmly.
"Yes, Teacher Qingyun!"
Kakashi and Might Guy nodded, then devoted themselves to practicing the Heavenly Mountain Plum-Blossom Hand and the Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms Qingyun had taught them.
Before long, Hatake Sakumo was the first to finish absorbing the medicinal potency and wake up.
