"Let me make one thing clear first. Don't rush into accepting me because of this."
Yan Uchiha looked at Rin Nohara, his tone more serious than before. "Saying no doesn't mean I'll stop looking after you. Minato asked me to take care of you, and I gave him my word."
"I'm pursuing you because I like you. There's no coercion or bribery involved. Don't put so much pressure on yourself. Listen to what you really want."
After saying that, he still wore a smile.
The more he looked at Rin Nohara, the more pleased he felt. If he hadn't transmigrated into the shinobi world, how could someone with his old circumstances ever have had a chance to pursue a girl like her?
Still, he wasn't shameless enough to force anyone to say yes.
The most pressing thing now was to put an end to Rin's suicidal thoughts.
"Rin, Yan is right," Minato Namikaze added. "Even without him, I'd protect you as your teacher. You don't need to worry so much. Accept if you want to, and refuse if you don't."
"I'm giving Jin this chance because his character and abilities are both decent. All you need to do is follow your heart."
Though Minato wore a gentle smile, his heart was far from at ease.
If he had a choice, he would naturally have preferred Rin to end up with Kakashi or Obito. Yan Uchiha was certainly strong and clever enough, but he was already embroiled in a power struggle. Rin was just an ordinary ninja. All Minato wanted was for his student to live out her life peacefully.
No one could say where a life with Jin Uchiha would take her. Worse still, that path was bound to be full of turmoil and bloodshed-the very things Minato least wanted
