Madara Uchiha had left.
He had come without hesitation and left just as decisively, waving his sleeve without taking so much as a cloud with him.
He had barely finished saying what needed to be said before turning and walking away, not even waiting for Jin to respond.
That was Madara Uchiha.
Defiant, domineering, and always trusting only himself.
He did think highly of Yan, even seeing something of his younger self in him. Even so, he still would not pin his hopes on someone else.
He trusted only himself!
In Madara's eyes, the Eye of the Moon Plan was the only true path for this world. As for Jin Uchiha's schemes, they were little more than a youngster's passing fancy, not worth taking seriously.
Still, if the youngster wanted to play, he might as well let him.
After all, Jin was not his pawn. He had joined as a genuine participant. On that point, at least, he was completely different from Obito in the original story.
Jin, whom Madara already regarded as a junior, took that in stride. Even if Madara rejected his ideas, he would not get upset over it.
Meanwhile, Yan Uchiha sat on the sofa, his cheek resting in his right hand as he stared blankly at the pile of things on the table.
His ancestor Madara really was far too generous.
When he had made those requests earlier, he had only meant to try his luck. Who could have imagined that Madara would lay everything out before him without attaching a single condition?
Yan was no fool. Of course he understood what that meant.
Madara had acknowledged him.
And perhaps some of his behavior reminded Madara of his younger brother Izuna, which was why Madara was especially indulgent toward him.
That was precisely the problem.
