At Tsunade's words, Kushina rushed to Naruto's bedside like a gust of wind.
Seeing Naruto sitting on the hospital bed, still looking at her with innocent eyes, Kushina hurried over and felt his face and arms. "Let Mommy have a good look. Does anything feel wrong? Does anything hurt? Don't be scared, don't be scared. Lady Tsunade is here now, so everything will be fine, everything will be fine... Naruto, I'm just glad you're awake. So glad you're awake!"
Kushina's anxious words of concern came out in a jumble. They sounded a little comical, but the love of a mother for her child was unmistakably real.
"Mom, I'm fine!"
Naruto seemed to come back to his senses on the hospital bed. He chuckled, then bared his arm and flexed his muscles. "See? Fit as a fiddle."
Watching him, Kushina noticed the few strands of white hair on his forehead. Pain flickered in her eyes as she poked his little cheek. "Are you really all right? Don't try to act tough!"
"I really am fine! Come to think of it, why am I here?"
Seeing that Naruto seemed to have no idea what had happened, Kushina looked doubtful. Unsure whether her child really was all right, she hurriedly asked Tsunade and Shizune to examine him again.
Their conclusion was no different from before.
"...He's very healthy, and now he's no longer unconscious, either."
Tsunade glanced at Naruto, who was chatting with Hinata and Kushina, and told Minato, "In terms of physical condition alone, there aren't many kids in Konoha healthier than Naruto is right now."
"Then his hair..."
"It's a physical response to exhausting his chakra all at once over a short period. You've been on the battlefield, so you should have seen plenty of cases like this. But he's fine.
