The baffling answer left Naruto utterly confused.
Since Naruto did not ask a corresponding question, Momoshiki offered no further explanation of how he sensed this so-called "divine aura" on him.
"Then let me put it another way. When did you first sense this aura?"
Momoshiki looked thoroughly puzzled. "I've been able to sense it all along..."
"You're being so cooperative because I have a divine aura?" Naruto was equally confused. "Then why did that Urashiki Otsutsuki act completely differently from you?"
"You've already encountered Urashiki?" Momoshiki froze. "I don't know, but if the one you met really was Urashiki, he wouldn't choose to make an enemy of you unless his life was threatened."
Momoshiki's explanation surprised Naruto. It almost sounded as though the Ōtsutsuki Clan would not regard him as an enemy.
"Now that you mention it, I think I understand..." The Nine-Tails' voice rang out again, sounding thoughtful. "It's quite possible that the Urashiki Otsutsuki working with this Momoshiki really has never met you."
What do you mean?
Naruto was confused.
"This might be a little complicated, but Naruto, the Urashiki Otsutsuki you and Sasuke dealt with earlier might not have come from the past... In that case, was it instead the Urashiki Otsutsuki from this timeline who wasn't afraid of, or didn't care about, your so-called divine aura?"
The Nine-Tails had vaguely guessed the truth, but he did not know that the Urashiki Otsutsuki from the past had actually been there too, only to fall into the Senju Brothers' trap and then be devoured by him.
But that raised another question.
What was the divine aura on Naruto?
Seeing Naruto remain silent, Momoshiki's expression darkened. Clearly, he had guessed Urashiki's fate.
Of the group carrying out this mission, Urashiki was the best at escaping and defending himself.
