An enormous tail swept past, its fierce wind pressure nearly blowing the less capable royal nobles off their feet. Fortunately, the guards beside them protected their lords in time.
Like a scythe cutting grass, the tail swept through the towering trees nearby, snapping the century-old trees of the Forest of Death, now the Tailed Beast Home, in half.

Nine-Tails snorted coldly. As his voice fell, everyone went deathly quiet.
Why is he here?
Pain and the others all looked toward Naruto, who stood nearby.
After the Chunin Ninja Exams, Naruto's identity as the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki had become common knowledge. During his travels through the Shinobi World, Naruto had also shown his Little Nine-Tails form in front of others more than once.
Yet the giant fox before them now was undeniably real. A tailed beast could not be separated from its jinchūriki. As the means of sealing a tailed beast, a jinchūriki's life was inseparably tied to it.
Once a tailed beast left a jinchūriki's body, the jinchūriki should ordinarily die.
Could this be another of Konoha's tricks?
