"The Fourth Shinobi World War?"
The words of the Minato Namikaze before him stunned Menma. Then, as though he had realized something, he suddenly burst out laughing. "I see, I see... so something like that actually happened! What a surprise!"
But Menma's reaction drew no response. Instead, the instant he began laughing, Minato Namikaze vanished before their eyes.
"He's gone."
Madara pointed it out.
"He can't get away. I told you this village has a barrier. Besides, I've more or less figured out what's going on."
Menma rubbed his chin, seemingly in an excellent mood.
"Why didn't I think of this before? In that space inside the Shinigami, the souls only fight each other if the two parties sealed inside still hate each other.
"But judging by the timeline, if they awakened their memories at the same time, the Nine-Tails and Minato Namikaze's souls would have reconciled ten years ago..."
Boom!!
Another tremendous crash rang out, but this time, its source was plain to see—
A gigantic azure Rasengan suddenly appeared above them and slammed into Otogakure's barrier.
"You seem quite confident in your barrier, but I don't think it'll hold out much longer."
"Hmm... I did underestimate his current strength a little."
Menma did not stubbornly cling to his assessment. Given the power this Minato Namikaze was displaying, destroying the barrier probably would not take him very long.
Moreover, the commotion had drawn quite a few people from the village to try to stop him. They were all Orochimaru's former subordinates. Though Menma would not mourn them if they became cannon fodder, they were still useful for everyday chores.
"Besides, this is even better. The stronger he is, the more useful he'll be to me!"
"..."
Madara said nothing. He could tell that their leader was now so excited
