Minato's lips twisted bitterly. "Why did the future turn out like this?"
At his words, Naruto stopped his account.
He knew how his dad felt at that moment.
He had been through it himself.
"Naruto... didn't you... weren't you able to change anything?" Minato asked.
Naruto did not answer.
After a long silence, Naruto sighed. "Dad, it wasn't me. It was that Fire God."
Why deny it?
Minato did not understand, but he asked no more questions.
Naruto looked up at the sky. "There are plenty of planets in the universe with gods, but no god has ever tried to use his power to serve the planet's other inhabitants the way the Fire God did."
"Maybe he was afraid of letting his predecessors down, or maybe he felt that this wasn't the world he'd envisioned."
"After that, he stayed in the Shinobi World and took up his duties as the Fire God again, far more diligently than before."
"He shared the power of chakra with everyone and used his own strength to meet their needs."
Naruto held out a hand and gathered chakra in his palm.
Before Minato and the Tailed Beasts, the chakra formed indistinct figures, bringing the scenes to life.
"Farmers who could only use a little Water Release and Earth Release complained to him that the world was so wonderful, yet they still had to sell their labor to work the fields instead of enjoying their lives.
"So the Fire God improved farming methods, used the Clone Technique to work in their place, and developed and applied automated technology. He handled food production for the entire world."
One figure left in delight, leaving the tall figure behind to toil in silence.
"A boy with no talent for ninjutsu or chakra was rejected by the Academy. Unwilling to
