That morning, Danzo returned home utterly exhausted after battling Dave all night...
Danzo walked through the door and glanced at the clock on the wall...
Then he went to his daughter's door and knocked gently.
"Yuner, it's seven. Time for school," Danzo called.
But he waited a while and heard no movement inside...
Something was wrong.
Usually, his precious daughter got up as soon as he called her. Why hadn't she stirred after all this time?
Danzo pushed the door open, only to find the room empty...
He thought for a moment. His daughter might have gone to sleep with Milu. She was pretty attached to her.
But when he reached Milu's room and found her sleeping alone, Danzo froze...
If she wasn't in either room... then...
Danzo's gaze turned icy...
Then...
Danzo shoved open the door to his study... and saw two little figures sleeping in each other's arms...
Danzo felt as though he couldn't breathe... His study... His daughter... Dave's son...
"Hm? Father, you're back!" Hearing the noise, Yuner and Daiyue hurriedly sat up.
Crack... "It's seven... Time for school..." Danzo braced one hand against the doorframe... Veins bulged on the back of his hand as he crushed it... Yet he wore a smile... and spoke through gritted teeth...
"Okay!" Yuner noticed nothing wrong with her father and cheerfully got out of bed.
Daiyue, however, noticed Danzo staring at him with a murderous gaze... He swallowed and hurried out of bed...
After the two washed up...
"Aren't you going to eat anything?" Danzo asked, staring expressionlessly at Daiyue.
"No need, Father. Daiyue and I can buy something on the way," Yuner said with a smile.
"Let's go, Daiyue." Yuner took Daiyue's hand.
"Then go! Why are you holding hands?" Danzo's eyes widened as he pulled their hands apart.
