A childlike yet rather subdued voice came from behind Sakumo, making him start violently.
"Kakashi, you're here!" Sakumo immediately turned to look at Kakashi behind him and spoke with a gentle smile.
"Father, hello, Uncle Fugaku. Why is Uncle Fugaku here?" Kakashi asked, looking at Sakumo in surprise.
"Your Uncle Fugaku's Uchiha Police Station is working with the ANBU on something, so I came to meet him at the entrance." Sakumo smiled faintly, then glanced back at Fugaku and winked.
"Ah, yes, yes. Everyone behind me is a prisoner, but the Uchiha Police Station doesn't have enough cells, and they aren't big enough to hold all these toads. So I contacted Sakumo about working together and putting the prisoners we can't fit in the Uchiha Police Station here in the ANBU," Fugaku said, immediately catching on as he looked at the large crowd of toads behind him.
"I see. You really are busy, Father." Kakashi nodded thoughtfully, looking at Sakumo with a hint of sympathy.
So many prisoners... and, uh, they all looked extremely vicious, too. Father really was busy every day. These prisoners alone would probably keep him occupied for quite a while.
"Did your mother send you to bring me dinner?" Sakumo asked happily, looking at the boxed meal Kakashi was carrying.
Eating prison meals day after day had almost made Sakumo sick. How could prison food compare to home cooking?
