"The Daimyo of the Land of Fire and the vast majority of senior officials have been killed. According to eyewitnesses, the Fifth Mizukage did it. That makes no sense. Why would the Fifth Mizukage do such a thing?"
Inside the Hokage's Meeting Hall, Tsunade, Uchiha Fugaku, Jiraiya, the heads of the major clans, Hokage Madara, and the others had all gathered.
Reading the information delivered by the Land of Fire's envoy, Jiraiya voiced his doubts.
The news was so horrifying that all of Konoha's high command had assembled. Even Jiraiya, who had been stationed in Amegakure, had been brought back by Naruto through the Reverse Summoning Technique. After all, this was the first time a daimyo had died since the founding of the ninja villages.
Before anyone could answer Jiraiya's question, Uchiha Ajin burst straight into the Meeting Hall. He had recently been serving as the liaison between Konoha and Sunagakure.
"Lord Hokage, we have fresh news. The Daimyo of the Land of Wind and many senior officials are dead as well. We don't even know where their bodies have gone."
Right behind Ajin, Sai, who was responsible for gathering intelligence, rushed in as well.
"Lord Hokage, the Daimyo of the Land of Lightning and most of its senior officials are all dead. Rumor has it that the Third Tsuchikage struck amid the chaos. The Daimyo of the Land of Earth and most of its senior officials have also died, allegedly at the hands of the Fourth Raikage!"
After Sai, Kazuhiko Sarutobi, the ninja responsible for maintaining secret contact with Kirigakure, entered with a letter in his hand.
"Lord Hokage, a letter from Kirigakure. The Daimyo of the Land of Water and many officials were killed by Water Release. The remaining senior officials suspect Kirigakure was responsible and have cut
