Kabuto smiled faintly at the nobles kneeling before him. Dealing with these pampered nobles was far easier than dealing with someone as stubborn as the Raikage. Besides, the only reason these people were still alive was that Orochimaru had already screened them.
Amid the towering mountains of the Land of Lightning, a white bird flew through the clouds, carrying three figures on its back.
"Seriously, I wanted to go to the palace in the Land of Lightning too, hmm! Imagine how artistic it would be to destroy that palace! Hmm!"
A man with long blond hair stood on the bird's head, wearing the Akatsuki's red cloud cloak. He was the resurrected Deidara. Behind him stood Sasori and the Third Kazekage, both wearing red cloud cloaks as well.
"They say the Raikage has the strongest body in the shinobi world. I wanted to make him into a puppet too. If his body proved usable, he could become my finest masterpiece."
Sasori, a puppeteer, was just as dissatisfied as Deidara.
Although Sasori had been resurrected too, all his puppets were gone. He had hastily replenished his collection over the past while, but none of them truly satisfied him.
"Why are you still talking about puppets? All three of us are Orochimaru and Kabuto Yakushi's puppets now. Stop dreaming."
In the end, the Third Kazekage shattered Deidara and Sasori's fantasies and dragged them back to reality. Their deployment this time was merely another of Kabuto's orders.
"Fine, fine. Even if I can't blow up the Palace of the Land of Lightning, blowing up Kumogakure should still be plenty of fun!"
Just as Deidara voiced that sentiment, Kumogakure appeared before them. These three were the special assault team Kabuto had sent to destroy the village.
One-on-one combat might not have been their forte,
