"Feebas, dodge and use Water Gun!"
After dodging a sneak attack, Xiao Ran refused to back down and ordered Feebas to counterattack.
Fortunately, they were riding atop the Giant Wave, so everyone only dared use minor moves like Water Gun and Bubble. If anything went wrong with the wave, they would all be finished.
"The riverbed's narrowing! We're entering the final sprint!"
After they exchanged attacks for a while, Qianqian suddenly called out.
Looking ahead, they could clearly see the channel gradually narrowing. Soon, it would be less than a fifth of its current width.
"Damn, isn't that way too narrow?" Zuo Chi exclaimed.
"Feebas, Waterfall!" Xiao Ran shouted.
Feebas, who had been playing atop the wave, suddenly dove, leaping off the crest and charging toward the First Tier.
"That Feebas is freaking amazing!"
Zuo Chi marveled. Beside him, Qianqian had already ordered Seel to charge down as well.
Staying atop the wave now would only secure them a decent placing. Winning that way was impossible.
To win a surfing competition, they naturally had to outrun the Giant Wave.
"Feebas, Surf!"
As they leaped off the Giant Wave, another surge rose immediately. Stacking one wave upon another was the fastest way to get ahead, and the successive Giant Waves could also put real distance between them and those behind.
Xiao Ran was not the only one doing this. The competitors ahead of him were doing the same.
Surf sent Feebas and Xiao Ran racing forward, but the Giant Waves rising ahead also blocked their progress.
"Seel, Waterfall!"
By then, Qianqian had caught up beside Xiao Ran. At this stage, however, their alliance naturally dissolved. From here on, they would each have to rely on their own abilities.
