There was no Intent.
Lin Feng was inside Bull-Head Mountain, in the very place where he had fought those monsters to the death in the game.
This was also where the real world connected to the Western Hunan Mountains.
The rescue team had brought the archaeological team out through here, too.
The route Lin Feng had taken was completely different from the one the archaeological team had used to enter.
Fortunately, the archaeological team had encountered no Underworld Uncanny. Otherwise, they might have been wiped out. Some Underworld Uncanny kept people like fish to be harvested, but even more killed outright.
The headless Uncanny was heading up the mountain and back down, to the junction between Bull-Head Mountain and the mountain behind it, called Pouch Mountain.
There, Lin Feng could put him down, and they could part ways.
Lin Feng walked swiftly, passing several corpses along the mountain trail. But when he passed the turn toward Bull-Head Stockade, both the written spirit and the horror signaled for him to avoid it.
There were fresh bloodstains along the trail, and even traces left by the Tree Demon.
"You can't go there."
The written spirit warned him.
Lin Feng took his advice and made a wide detour.
On his way down the mountain, however, he still saw many traces left behind by Historian.
There were Uncanny on this trail, too, but far fewer. As he shook his bell, they scattered of their own accord.
But as his bell kept ringing,
the headless corpse on his back grew increasingly talkative.
Whenever he tried to say his name, the written spirit interrupted him with "perfect timing."
The scenery along the trail was pleasant.
But there were even more corpses.
Taoist robes, Monk robes, Folk Customs clothing, and government military uniforms.
"So many people died.
