Unless something unexpected happens, I won't suddenly abandon this book. Bad as it may be, I'll still finish it, and I'll gradually tie up the loose ends I set up earlier.
My preliminary plan is for two more arcs. One will be the Song Dynasty arc, about Xia Song taking office in Hongzhou and other places, tearing down Wild Temples and God Shrines, and sorting out the local situation. During this arc, I'll resolve the mysteries surrounding Heaven-Bearing Temple and the Bronze Vessel in Shuzhong.
After that will come the final arc, or one close to the end.
Somewhere between two and three arcs.
There's also a concluding arc, though even now I haven't really decided which one it'll be.
There are quite a few candidates, including a Plateau arc about monks and the suppression of Evil Soil, the Corpse of Nü Chou, and other such things. There are other possibilities too, including a story about temple keepers in the sacred mountains around Yunnan-Guizhou-Sichuan, set during the era of the Six Heavens' Old Qi, when mountains were being stormed and temples torn down.
I have plenty of stories in my head; I just can't write them well.
All right, this is a bonus chapter. If I've set it up correctly, a bonus section should appear below. If you see it, you can post some scrolling comments and so on, and there should be a prize draw (if I've messed it up, I'll take another look at how to do it).
I'm working on today's update. I'm working on it.
Wishing all my readers a happy holiday in advance.
