Let me recommend another new book by a fellow flop of a writer.
The author's name is Night-Peeking Window.
The new book is called "This Humble Daoist Knows Only Killing Swordsmanship."
The keywords are "Tales of Gods and Ghosts," "The Dynasty's Final Years," "decisive and ruthless," "killing left and right," and "never cultivating virtue, only loving murder and arson." There's also some heavily reimagined face-reading, the Three Teachings and nine schools, and things like that.
If that sounds like your thing, take a look.
"Folk Customs" will finish this month.
At most, it'll take this month plus another five days or so into next month, because the ending is already set.
Although I said the same thing about the book before last, that book's plot was driven by the characters' emotions. Once those emotions faded, the story couldn't move forward.
"Folk Customs" fell apart in a different way, unlike the previous book.
"Behold Green Mountain" is the final instance in all of "Folk Customs," the concluding instance that encompasses everything.
The biggest problem with "Folk Customs" was that I focused too much on atmosphere early on and forgot I was writing a story. The heart of a webnovel is still the story itself.
It only works when story and atmosphere come together. The problem is that I don't have the skill for that. I can write atmosphere, but the story ends up very short; or I can write a long story, but the atmosphere is bound to fall short.
Sure enough, I didn't lie to you about that.
This author has plenty of experience with flopping, and now I've added another kind of flop to the list.
That's all. The main story update will be up tonight.
Don't worry about whether the book will get an ending. I still plan
