The Western Hunan Mountains.
The thunderstorm was terrifying.
Heaven was raging.
The rescue helicopters had become utterly useless. Rescue efforts could only proceed on the ground, and every rescuer risked death as they made their way into the mountains, one step at a time. The captain was so exhausted he was on the verge of collapse. Mud covered him from head to toe, cold and stiff.
He could no longer remember the last time he had eaten a hot meal.
Even his mind had grown hazy.
Fortunately, the rain had stopped.
But no one knew when it would start again.
They had to push through while it held off.
"Good! Switch teams and move forward! Everyone, be careful!"
The captain shouted too. Mustering his energy, he
