Neither Jiraiya nor Orochimaru knew that Tsunade suspected Fusang belonged to the Uzumaki Clan. They did not question the reason Tsunade gave them. What mattered now was the Amegakure Ninja.
The Remnants who had set up the ambush here had been killed, with just one left alive for interrogation. Even so, he had been beaten beyond recognition and lay unconscious on the ground, covered in blood.
"Thank you." The Amegakure Ninja who appeared to be the Anbu Captain approached them and first expressed his gratitude. "Without you, we couldn't have caught these people so quickly."
"It was just a coincidence. We didn't intend for this to happen either." Tsunade felt a little embarrassed. They truly had not intended to act as bait. They had only stumbled upon the enemy's true identity, which had led to this outcome.
"Regardless, we still owe you our thanks. Fortunately, this young man informed us in time. If anything had happened to you, I wouldn't have been able to answer to Lord Hanzō." There was a lingering fear in his voice. Clearly, he was worried about the potential consequences.
Hearing that, Tsunade felt that her earlier decision might have put these Amegakure Ninja in a difficult position. She grew even more embarrassed, while also feeling grateful that Orochimaru had gone ahead to summon the Amegakure Anbu.
"All right, let me escort you back, in case those people come out for revenge," he said.
"You haven't caught all of them yet?" Jiraiya asked in surprise.
"There are probably seven more, about as many as there were here. They're still quite dangerous, so I hope you won't let your guard down." Before speaking, he had hesitated, apparently weighing whether to tell them. Perhaps he wanted to warn them, so he ultimately revealed it.
