With the day's work finished, Kazemori Masaki left the Hokage's office building and headed home. As Hokage, he was not nearly as busy as Naruto Uzumaki had been in the original story. He had learned early on to delegate the actual implementation to his subordinates, leaving himself responsible only for setting the overall direction and making plans. Besides improving efficiency, he also wanted to avoid straining his relationship with his children the way Naruto Uzumaki had.
Children Akemi and Asuna's age needed their family around them more than anything. A mother alone could not take a father's place. That was why Kazemori Masaki paid close attention to his family relationships. To him, his own little household deserved just as much care.
When Kazemori Masaki arrived home, Satomi was nearly finished cooking, and dinner would soon be ready. Although he had tried to get back as early as possible, he was still the last one home—the Ninja Academy had already let out, and Akemi and Asuna had both returned.
Entering the room, Kazemori Masaki saw his two daughters chatting happily with Nawaki. With the Senju Clan's dwindling numbers and Tobirama having left no children behind, there was not a single other young child in the Senju Main Residence. Nawaki had once been able to play with his older sister, but Tsunade had now gone to the Land of Rain.
Mito Uzumaki knew that children Nawaki's age liked to play, and the house was indeed rather quiet. That suited an elderly woman like her well enough, but it clearly did not suit Nawaki. She had therefore arranged for him to stay with Kazemori Masaki's family, both so he would have children his own age to play with and in the hope that Kazemori Masaki could guide his training.
"Welcome home, Father." Akemi,
