Kazemori Masaki smiled faintly at Ōnoki high above him, then his smile faded. He leaped into the air, powerful chakra erupting to propel him skyward.
His control of wind release chakra and use of natural energy were as fluid as a fish swimming downstream, with a force at his back helping him along. As he rapidly closed in on Ōnoki, he hurled two Eight-Part Wind Wheels.
Ōnoki was surprised the moment he saw Kazemori Masaki charge upward. The jump itself was nothing remarkable; with Masaki's physical abilities, it was certainly possible. But Masaki could not fly. Once the force of his leap ran out, he would inevitably stall, and that would be Ōnoki's chance.
Ōnoki did not believe someone as experienced as Kazemori Masaki would make such a mistake. But the two glowing wind wheels were already hurtling toward him, forcing him to set his doubts aside and fly at high speed to evade their attacks.
Unexpectedly, the Eight-Part Wind Wheels seemed determined to strike Ōnoki. They changed direction and pursued him. Ōnoki remained calm at the sight. The ability to control a ninjutsu's direction was uncommon, but not unheard of. What happened next, however, shocked him.
As Kazemori Masaki began to slow down, he twisted his body and kicked against the air. As though he had stepped on solid ground, his speed surged again, and even his direction changed.
Now Ōnoki was truly stunned. He did not understand the exact principle, but that move proved Kazemori Masaki could fly as well. Honestly, if Masaki had used Wind Release to float through the air, he could have understood it. Masters of Wind Release were capable of such things. Masaki's method, however, left him baffled.
Could Kazemori Masaki's strength and speed actually let him kick off the air to move? Watching
