At their pace, the two soon caught sight of the Land of Demons' border. Since the lost Ninshu Classics had been discovered there years ago, the country had become one of the sacred sites of the Ninshu revival. Anyone interested in Ninshu teachings would find an opportunity to visit.
Although the Land of Demons was not militarily powerful, it had become a leading center of culture. In times of peace, or whenever it stayed out of a war, life there was very good. Indeed, it had remained uninvolved in the previous war and continued to develop steadily throughout.
For this private visit, Konoha Ninja Village had notified the Land of Demons only of Kagami Uchiha's arrival. After all, Kazemori Masaki's real body was still in Konoha Ninja Village, and his Shadow Clone could hardly reveal its identity openly. In the past, a Shinobi Village leader's appearance would have been known only in the surrounding area at most, but thanks to the newspapers Konoha Ninja Village published, many people now knew what its leader looked like.
Before entering the Land of Demons, Kazemori Masaki disguised himself with the Transformation Technique, appearing to outsiders as Kagami Uchiha's personal guard. Since advance notice had already been given, Kagami soon entered the country and headed for its capital to meet the highly revered Shrine Maiden.
It was Kagami Uchiha's first visit, and everything there piqued his curiosity. Although Konoha Ninja Village also preserved Ninshu culture, Kazemori Masaki favored an academic approach over a religious one, so traces of traditional Ninshu were not particularly prominent in the village.
The Land of Demons was different. Although its people also studied the new Ninshu advocated by Kazemori Masaki, traces of tradition were everywhere. Everything Kagami Uchiha saw there was much closer to his image of traditional Ninshu.
