After the Medical Department worked tirelessly day and night, with some cooperation from the Research Department, Tsunade finally developed the Poison. It specifically targeted people who had taken that secret medicine. Anyone whose body had undergone certain changes from taking it would suffer an even more violent reaction to the Poison.
"According to the reports submitted, prolonged use of the secret medicine causes physical sensation to deteriorate, almost as though they've lost their sense of pain. Even their emotions gradually disappear," Kazemori Masaki said. "Against enemies like that, can this Poison still incapacitate them quickly?"
Tsunade and Orochimaru sat across from Kazemori Masaki. To quickly analyze the secret medicine's composition and counter it, Tsunade had sought Orochimaru's help. His talent extended beyond jutsu formulas; he was also highly accomplished in pharmaceutical research.
Moreover, although skilled healers were generally skilled at making poisons, their different specialties still mattered. Tsunade had always focused on saving lives and treating injuries. Even if she knew how to develop Poison, she had little practical experience making ones intended to harm people. Unlike ordinary medical ninja, she had no need for Poison to support her in battle. When she encountered an enemy, she could simply punch them.
Orochimaru, however, was different. Besides fighting with ninjutsu, he used Poison quite frequently. After all, his summoning beasts were members of the snake clan from Ryūchi Cave.
When Kazemori Masaki learned that Orochimaru had already signed a summoning contract, and with the snake clan at that, he was quite surprised. Later, however, he discovered that Orochimaru had merely happened to encounter snakes from Ryūchi Cave and had not actually found the cave itself.
In the original story, Orochimaru only found Ryūchi Cave after researching Jūgo's cells and discovering clues to its location. Even then, he failed to obtain the
