The screenwriter smiled. "How about I stay up here the entire time, right until the game ends? If you're worried, you can have two people guard me!"
Someone asked, "What kind of game?"
"Hide-and-seek. Every private room on the first and second floors will be open. Everyone here can form their own teams, and each team will draw lots to pick a seeker. You'll have ten minutes to find the two to five people I describe. Whichever team finds them all wins!"
"Oh, so one team splits the hundred million!"
"If a team has ten people, each person gets ten million if they win!"

The screenwriter spoke again. "Guests who don't want to participate can enjoy themselves in the pool of booze. Participation isn't mandatory!"

Everyone chiming in belonged to the production crew. They were skilled actors and already had the crowd eating out of their hands.
With them whipping up the excitement, most people agreed to join the game. A handful of wealthy guests couldn't care less about a hundred million.
