A group of armed special forces soldiers suddenly stormed in.
"Nobody move! Everyone get down on the ground!"
Their piercing gazes and icy voices scared Shanshan so badly that her hand trembled, and she dropped her weapon straight onto the floor.
"I... I'm one of the good guys..."
Shanshan crouched down with her hands over her head. Seeing Fang Cheng still standing there in a daze, she tugged at him.
"They're on our side. Drop your weapon before you get yourself roughed up!"
Fang Cheng snapped out of it, tossed away his weapon, and crouched beside Shanshan with his hands over his head.
The two whispered to each other. "Do you know them?"
Shanshan shook her head. "No. You can tell they're no ordinary soldiers. Don't talk about them!"
But Fang Cheng was just too curious. "That older guy leading them is pretty handsome. Take a look!"
"A handsome older guy? Let me have a peek!"
Shanshan quietly raised her head, only to meet a pair of casually indifferent eyes.
She froze, because the older man before her really was handsome!
It wasn't conventional good looks, but the distinctive allure of a mature man. A scar on his face gave him a wild edge, yet there was a hint of languid ease about him.
Shanshan wondered if someone could deliver such a handsome older man to a lonely singleton like her.
"Had enough of a look?"
The man's deep voice sounded above her head. Shanshan shut her mouth and hurriedly lowered her head in fright.
Handsome, sure, but a little scary...
"You two, get up!"
Fang Cheng pointed at himself with one hand and Shanshan with the other. "The two of us?"
"Who else would I mean?"
They stood up
