"Back in school, I always imagined what it would be like if the apocalypse came. Well, now it really has." Holding two children's arms, Xishan charged toward the bus ahead of everyone else. "Wang Jie, how are we supposed to drive without the keys?"
"Threaten those investigators! Make them talk! Do I have to fucking teach you?" Wang Jie grappled with an investigator. His movements were lightning-fast, his attacks vicious—he had clearly undergone systematic training.
"Hand over the keys, or don't blame me for getting rough." Xishan spoke fiercely, only to take a heavy punch to the stomach the moment he opened his mouth. He doubled over like a shrimp.
"Fuck! Useless idiot!" Wang Jie kicked his opponent away, grabbed a child's arm from the ground, and swung it at the investigator attacking Xishan. "The Investigation Bureau's security forces have already lost control! Children's bodies are scattered everywhere! If we don't run now, the Red-Clad Vengeful Ghost will hunt us all down!"
Rain poured down, and Wang Jie's voice carried far through the storm. "Everyone who touched a child's body is a target for the Red-Clad Vengeful Ghost! If we don't escape the campus tonight, we're all going to die!"
"Letting you escape would increase the chances of the anomaly event spreading. More people would die." The investigator stared coldly at Wang Jie. "You're not taking this bus."
"If you want to die, don't drag us down with you." Wang Jie nearly shoved the child's arm into the investigator's mouth.
Around the buses, the students' eyes reddened.
"Found one! The keys are still in this bus!" Cao Song spotted a bus with no one guarding it and promptly climbed aboard. But the moment he got on, he vomited. The interior was covered in blood, as though it had just driven
