The toys modeled after haunted houses collapsed beneath A Fang's feet. Grudge Houses rose from the ground, stacking up like enormous building blocks within the dead Shadow World.

Just as he usually played with his toys, A Fang had built his own Death Zone out of haunted houses.

"Ah!"

A completely unfamiliar voice came from his small body. The expanding phantom of the world seemed about to tear him apart.

Just as everything was about to spiral out of control, twelve pairs of scarlet eyes slowly opened deep within the boundless black fog. They all turned toward A Fang.

Bloodred ghost cities stood within the black fog. The spot where Gao Ming and A Fang stood seemed to be where the number thirteen belonged.

As hysterical laughter rang out, the dead world's consciousness was visibly affected. The other eleven pairs of eyes also turned elsewhere.

The world consciousness that had nearly torn A Fang apart immediately reined itself in. As though afraid something would find it, it burrowed back into A Fang's body.

The hood of his little dinosaur pajamas slipped down over his face. A Fang's expression was completely different from before. He looked nothing like a child, but more like a weathered old man with one foot already in the grave.

His face was filled with terror. Whatever had just happened seemed to have frightened him badly.

Raising his head, he looked straight past his biological parents at Gao Ming in the distance.

"I absolutely can't let those twelve find me. I absolutely can't let them find me. Wake up, hurry! Whoever you are, hurry and wake up!" A Fang's voice was urgent and unfamiliar. He hastily gathered the scattered building blocks from the floor and threw all the toys into his enormous schoolbag.
