"Newcomers are bound to get nervous when they enter a strange tale instance. You'll get used to it." Li patted Gao Ming on the shoulder. "But joining our team was a smart move. It'll open up a lot more options for you."
"Stop acting like some big shot." Ouyang Susu grabbed Li. For some reason, she felt there was something special about the young man named Gao Ming. "You know perfectly well what you're like. Who are you to lecture anyone?"
"Stop arguing for a minute." Fan Li pulled Ouyang Susu away. "Teacher Liu ran into us right after escaping the building. Not much time passed in between, so Xiao Guo and his parents should still be inside. While the monsters are in the activity room, let's check this building as quickly as we can, then move somewhere else immediately. We don't want those monsters tracking us down."
After confirming that Xiao Guo's family wasn't in their apartment, Fan Li decided to search the building first and see if he could find any clues.
"Gao Ming, Youyou, you're both new, so stay here and keep watch. Bai Shu, Li, you two will stay in the stairwell to provide backup and warn us of danger. Everyone else, come with me. We'll check each apartment." Fan Li spoke rapidly. "If anything goes wrong, make sure you're safe first. Only then should you think about saving anyone else."
Once everyone had their assignment, Fan Li and Ouyang Susu left the living room and headed for the upper floors.
