Once everyone had escaped, Xiao Wu swung the door shut. Only then did the barking stop, but a stench of rotten flesh now hung in the air.
"How did that thing in the bathroom wake up?" Xiao Wu looked terrified. "Good thing you ran fast, or we'd all have been done for."
Their heartbeats rang clearly in their ears. The corridor was frighteningly quiet.
"Put on your Work IDs and go find Manager Nian in the Food Area. She'll help you adjust to this place as quickly as possible. Remember, if you hear a dog bark, run immediately." Xiao Wu panted. He seemed to have had quite a scare himself.
