"What's wrong with your brain? From my voice, I'm old enough to be your grandmother, aren't I? You can't even tell?" Auntie Wang increasingly felt that signing up for the test had been a mistake. Young people these days liked things that were far too bizarre.

Heavy footsteps silenced Auntie Wang. The door in front of her was yanked open, revealing an exceptionally burly young man standing in a room piled with old belongings.

Ugly scars marred his bald scalp, and a fire had devoured almost half his face. The young man wore a tattered sweater and cradled a broken radio. A glass marble had been stuffed into his left eye socket; only his right eye remained intact.

The young man was very tall and wore a goofy smile. He must have been fairly handsome once, but after the burns, every smile tugged at the scars across his forehead and face, making him look terrifying.

"Little sister, are you back? Let's play a game!" The young man stood in front of Auntie Wang, limping. He bent down, bringing his hideous face almost against her nose. Frightened, she backed away repeatedly.

"This is Eternal Life Pharmaceuticals' contact?" Xu Deyi tightened his grip on his wooden stick. "He looks like an idiot."

"The only light in the entire building is here, so there's a good chance he's our contact." Xu Yajing had played plenty of horror games, and she seemed to realize something. "Listen carefully to what he says, everyone. The test might have already started."

"Little sister! Is that you? Little sister!" Hearing Xu Yajing's voice, the young man craned his head toward the hallway and grinned, exposing stark white teeth.

His sole remaining eye swept over everyone in the hallway. It was bloodshot, and his gaze bore down on them.
