The atmosphere in the Death Building's conference room was unbearably tense. The player leaders fell silent. They wanted revenge more than anyone. Eternal Life Pharmaceuticals had buried the truth, leaving them as the only living evidence of its crimes. Yet now they could only hide in the shattered districts of Perfect Life, not daring to return to reality.
"Would you rather hide in a rat hole forever, or come with me and change things?" Gao Ming made no effort to be polite. He had brought only three Flesh-and-Blood Seeds out of his nightmare, and now he had used them all. Whether the players agreed or not, he was going to bind them to his side.
"After the sacrifice succeeded, the Death Building gave me a very special reward. My access privileges should now be higher than anyone else's here. Killing me would only leave both sides crippled. That's what gives me the confidence to stand here." Having made his position clear, Gao Ming stood and left the conference room under the leaders' gazes.
The player leaders did not stop him. They seemed to want to wait until he was gone before discussing things properly.
After branding the Flesh-and-Blood Ghost God's markings onto the wardrobe, Gao Ming could open every room in the Death Building. He was deeply curious about the structure.
"The Flesh-and-Blood Seeds took root and sprouted inside the Death Building, their roots penetrating the walls. It feels like my connection to this building has deepened, too. There are a few hidden rooms here that no one has opened yet. What's inside them?"
When he reached the elevator lobby, Gao Ming closed his eyes and patiently sensed the guidance of the Flesh-and-Blood Giant Tree. Then he pressed a button.
The elevator descended rapidly, but the number on the display
