From the first watch to the second, the streets the night watchman passed through underwent a distinct change. The night grew darker, and the old buildings shed their dust, becoming sinister and menacing, mysterious and dangerous.
Blood seeped through the peeling walls, and the white paper lanterns slowly turned red. The watchman had not lied to Gao Ming. Dreamfold Town was even more terrifying after the second watch began.
Entering the dream at the first watch... Eternal Life Pharmaceuticals hasn't driven the Testers straight to their deaths. It gave everyone some time to prepare. Gao Ming's mind raced, one thought colliding with another. Players have two options if they want to survive in Dreamfold Town: hide wherever they can and rely on what they've built up to last until dawn, or willingly accept those terrifying modification methods and let them perform inhuman alterations on their bodies.
Li Zhu, Tang Hu, and Wan Min had all chosen the latter. Even knowing how dangerous the modification methods were, they still wanted to take a gamble.
Perhaps there's a third option. Dreamfold Town doesn't seem to be a single dream. It seems to be a jumble of countless nightmares. If I could destroy this place...
"Are you scared?" Chunniang suddenly asked, resting that head of hers—the one that drove men wild—on Gao Ming's shoulder. "Why not just give in to me?"
Gao Ming heard the mockery and teasing in her words, but paid them no mind. He walked straight to the door. "I'll do both things you asked, one at a time."
