The yellow Hazmat Suit stood out in the darkness. Gao Ming pushed aside the two legs in front of his face and looked into the monitoring station.

There was no one alive inside, only indicator lights on the instruments blinking on and off. A walkie-talkie hung upside down nearby.

"Were you the one talking to me?" Gao Ming jumped through the window into the room and looked around. The corpse was the most suspicious thing there.

The man must have been unable to bear something and chosen suicide. That would explain the complicated expression on his face when he died—not just fear and pain, but relief as well.

Gao Ming removed the rope from the corpse's neck and laid him flat on the floor. Pulling back his hood, he found a small mission camera inside the Hazmat Suit.

"The battery's dead." Someone had deliberately written a warning on the recording device in red: strictly forbidden in the Abandoned Water Network. The dead man was probably a rookie who had overlooked the rule.

Finding a charging cable in the dead man's bag, Gao Ming tried charging the camera inside the station. Before long, its light came on.

"The warning we just read said we couldn't use cameras here," the driver reminded him quietly.

"We're already here. We might as well find out what they filmed, right?" Gao Ming set down the mission camera and picked up the walkie-talkie again. Standing in the middle of the room, he turned the knob, and both walkie-talkies crackled with static.

"Let's just get out of here. Stop messing around." The driver didn't dare stay outside alone, but he was afraid there might be danger inside the station. Torn between the two, he straddled the windowsill.

Once the static subsided, Gao Ming spoke into the walkie-talkie.
