Under the gazes of four Blood City Lords, Hanhai Blood City's descent had barely slowed, but this already seemed to be Hanhai's limit.
When a fifth pair of scarlet eyes opened, blood-red lightning flashed through the boundless black fog. Raindrops fell, remaining rain in the air but turning to blood when they landed on the citizens of Hanhai.

Gao Ming could not tell, nor could he spare the energy to investigate. The bloody rain did not harm Hanhai's citizens or its ghosts. It merely flowed steadily into the nightmare, as though trying to devour the corpse of Hanhai's previous Blood City Lord through it.
If too much of its source power was stolen, the Blood City would naturally suffer. Forget descending—even Gao Ming and Gao Yun would eventually be absorbed along with it.
Seeing one Blood City Lord target the corpse, thunderous tremors rumbled through the black fog, and two more pairs of eyes opened in the distant Fog Sea.
Of the Thirteen Blood Cities, excluding Hanhai and Xinhu, as well as Central Blood City and Darkness Blood City, which were currently at war, seven Blood City Lords had turned their attention to Hanhai.
Their physical bodies could not reach it, but their gazes, imbued with the rules of their Blood Cities, were enough to stop Hanhai's descent.
