"You're Time?" It was the first time Xue Se had heard anyone call themselves that. "Time from Blood City?"
The Florist's Diary had contained descriptions of Blood City, but those were all the wild fantasies of a serial killer. How could they be real?
He tightened his grip on his gun. People only knew Xue Se had a violent temper; they had no idea that he was most dangerous when he was calm. Now, without the slightest fluctuation in his emotions, he aimed at another head.
No matter how the voice changed, Xue Se could always pinpoint its source. His beastlike instincts and senses were terrifying.
"The moment I saw you trying to rely on that gun in your hand, I knew you'd forgotten everything. You've already become part of Delirium." Time's voice mingled with the dripping blood and the ticking hands.
"If I don't rely on my gun, what should I rely on?" Xue Se didn't believe there was any power in the world more trustworthy than a gun. "After killing so many people, do you think you can get away?"
"You actually think they're people? Look closely. They're all Grotesques and cases of madness disease gathered here by Delirium. What about them looks human?" The world in Time's eyes was different from the one Xue Se saw. "They all deserve to die. They all need to be killed. Only then will this world become normal."
"Lunatic." For a moment, Xue Se wavered, but he quickly regained his clarity. Talk to a lunatic for too long, and you could easily become one yourself. He couldn't let himself follow the other's line of reasoning.
"I'm a lunatic? Hahaha, that's right. I'm a lunatic. Hurry up and leave, or you might catch the madness infection." Time was cold and merciless. It
