Time knew best how to verify a lie. It knew Xue Se had not lied, and joy spread across Big Head's twisted features. This was the best news it had heard since entering this deranged world.

Compared to Time, Xue Se seemed very calm. "I'm curious. Why do you want to kill him? That guy doesn't look like much of a threat."
"It's all a disguise! He's the reason we're trapped in this deranged world! To stay sane, we have to trade away our rules and abilities. Once everyone has forgotten and he's the only one still lucid, we'll never get out!" Big Head's head rapidly withered. Whenever Time revealed anything involving certain matters, it drastically depleted the Clock.
"We're trapped in this world, so does that mean this is the wrong world?" The clues Xue Se had gathered were slowly coming together. "Is the real world actually hidden inside that child's brain?"
"Who is that child?"
"That's none of your business." Xue Se held his gun. "You want to work with me, and the person you want to kill also wants to work with me. You imprisoned and hurt my subordinates, while he's been giving me clues and help. Frankly, I didn't come here to give you an answer. I just came to talk."
Time caught the implication in Xue Se's words. "Fool! Has Delirium assimilated your intelligence along with your memories? He clearly approached you with an ulterior motive. He wants to use you against the others!"
"What do you mean, against the others?"
"Other unknowables were dragged into Delirium with us. You've simply forgotten them all."
