And so Ning Shile, who had been working on a contract at the office, found himself dragged over by his father without any idea what was going on.
"What does he want with me?" Ning Shile followed close behind Ning Father, asking in confusion, "He hates me so much. Why would he ask me to come?"
"I don't know. He asked for you as soon as he woke up." Ning Father took Ning Shile to the inpatient ward and reminded him, "If your grandfather says anything you don't want to hear, just leave. Don't argue with him."
Ning Shile nodded.
Of course he knew that. The old man was already seriously ill. What if he upset him again and made him die of anger?
When they opened the door to the hospital room, his eldest aunt, eldest uncle, and second uncle were all crowded inside. They turned in unison to look at Ning Shile.
They lived relatively close to one another and kept in frequent contact. Now, they seemed united against a common enemy.
Every one of them looked displeased and wary,
