The woman before them was red-faced with rage, struggling fiercely to break free of the man's grip.
After the man's rough handling, her hair was a disheveled mess. Her eyes were bloodshot, and the hatred in them threatened to swallow him whole. "Just you wait!"
"I'll send you both to hell!" Breathing hard, she pointed at Su Jinyu and the man, then turned and strode away with her fists clenched.
Su Jinyu and the man stood ahead, blocking the passage completely.
Ning Shile took another route to find the club manager.
When the manager heard Ning Shile say that someone had gone to the Third Floor intending to start a fire, he immediately pulled up the surveillance footage.
The dim surveillance feed showed nothing but empty space. There was no sign of the woman.
"You're probably worrying too much," the manager explained. "The Third Floor is private. Outsiders almost never go up there."
Ning Shile studied the empty surveillance feed in silence for a while, then still urged, "You'd better send someone to keep an eye on it."
"Of course." The manager nodded and answered with a smile, "Keeping our guests safe is our responsibility."
There was nothing Ning Shile could fault in that answer, so he could only nod.
He left the surveillance room with a grave expression.
