Background / History
Xinxin lost both parents in a car accident twenty years before the events described in Chapter 36. Zheng Mother took her into the Zheng household, where she grew up alongside Zheng Ye. She was a good student and received an acceptance letter from a prestigious overseas university shortly after reaching adulthood. By the time Jiang Jingyin’s scandal emerges, she is in her fourth year abroad 36.
Her best friend, Luo Xianxian, developed postpartum depression and attempted suicide several times. With Xianxian mentally fragile, Xinxin took in her son, Minmin, and became his godmother. The child is not Xinxin’s biological son, despite Ning Shile initially misremembering the situation 35 36.
