By the time they had eaten and drunk their fill, it was two in the morning.
Mo Chengzhou had booked a hotel, and Mu Xu Ye called his driver. After a few minutes of waiting outside the restaurant, the car picked them up and headed toward Chaoyang Road.
Qi Shu Yu rested his head on Mu Xu Ye's shoulder. At this hour, his body clock was telling him to sleep. His eyelids kept drooping, and eventually, he could no longer hold out and closed his eyes.
Yan Wen yawned and looked out the window. Chaoyang Road was quiet after two in the morning. In the side mirror, he could see a black Maybach a dozen meters behind them.
"Are you sleepy?" Mo Chengzhou asked with concern. "Why don't you lean on me and get some sleep? We're still a little way from the hotel."
Yan Wen looked at him, then shook his head. "I'm not sleepy. Are you sleepy, Mr. Mo? Want to lean on me and sleep?"
Mo Chengzhou smiled without answering and reached up to smooth Yan Wen's hair.
Tang Yun had already slumped against the seat back, dead to the world. He had had so much fun today that, now that everything had suddenly quieted down, exhaustion hit him all at once.
Half an hour later, the car stopped outside the hotel. Mu Xu Ye got out first, then lifted Qi Shu Yu out of the car and carried him straight into the hotel.
Qi Shu Yu wanted to get down and walk, but Mu Xu Ye showed no intention of putting him down, so he obediently wrapped his arms around his neck.
Yan Wen shook Tang Yun awake. "Tang Zi, we're here. Wake up!"
