After a long time away, Mu Xu Ye brought Qi Shu Yu back to stay with the Mu Family for a couple of days.
They arrived at noon, just after lunchtime. Two servants were cleaning the Front Courtyard, while Xie Yunshu sat on the lawn nearby, drinking coffee in the sunshine.
Seeing them return, Xie Yunshu set down her cup and walked over. "Xiao Ye, Shu Yu, what brings you here?! Come inside."
No one was in the living room. Qi Shu Yu asked, "Auntie, where are Xiao Wen and the others?"
"Your uncle is at the company. He won't be back until tonight. Xiao Wen and the others are in the Back Garden. Shall I take you to join them?"
"Yes, thank you, Auntie."
The two followed Xie Yunshu to the Back Garden and found Yan Wen and the others beneath a cherry tree.
Yan Wen stood at the front in the middle, with Mu Xu Ci and Mu Xu Xi behind him on either side. Mo Chengzhou watched from nearby as Yan Wen led the two through the Eight Brocades exercises.
Xie Yunshu smiled. "Xiao Ci insisted that Xiao Wen teach him martial arts, and Xiao Xi wanted to join in, so Xiao Wen brought them out to exercise."
Dressed in a white Tang suit, Yan Wen moved with lightness and strength. When the full routine was finished, he turned to the two and said, "Practice this once a day for a month, and then I'll teach you something harder."
Mu Xu Xi slowly breathed out. "This really works! I feel full of energy now."
Mu Xu Ci nodded. "When Dad comes home, let's get him to practice with us. He could use some exercise too."
Spotting Qi Shu Yu, Yan Wen waved excitedly. "Big Brother Qi!"
Mo
